Position Objective An accounts officer is responsible for securing revenue via financial bookkeeping consisting of processing invoices, tracking income and expenditure and resolving discrepancies with customers and vendors.
Some of the primary responsibilities of this role include but will not be limited to:
Assist with analyzing, organizing and managing customer invoices.
Audit invoices based on purchase orders.
Research and resolve customer problems related to billing and payment.
Verify and record business transactions.
Prepare and manage account statements.
Perform reconciliation of daily and monthly revenues.
Periodical preparation of financial reports, expense reports, revenue reports, and trial balance reports, etc for management.
Assist with bank deposits.
Manage check transactions and payments.
Assist in procurement, payroll, and budget preparation activities.
Participate in month end account closing activities.
Assist with account payables.
Assist with receivable transactions and collections.
Maintain confidentiality and security of bank accounts.
Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries.
Assist in general financial management and analysis.
Job Qualifications Education & Experience: Associates Degree or CAPE Certificates/Awards in all modules/ Experience in similar capacity. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Organized, Accounting experience, data entry skills, proficient in Mathematics, financial software experience, analyzing information, attention to detail, thoroughness, EDPM, verbal communication, confidentiality.
